Be sure to check out the SALES and CLEARANCE items on kitchen, home, and garden finds from my favorite home furnishing, food, and gift retailers 🙂
I can conquer a yard sale. I love ‘em. Some sales are legitimately lifetimes of people’s stuff waiting to go to a good home and be purposed, and other sales are just people trying to sell junk they paid too much for in the first place. I can sniff out the difference between the two. Every Spring in Far Hills, New Jersey, the annual Visiting Nurses Association Sale receives donations for what can only be described as the mother of all sales. To say I’ve done well there in the past is an understatement. You’ve got to be creative with whatever you lay eyes on – how could you use it?
Here are a handful of some of my best finds at VNA over the years. All together for the items below, I paid less than $25 and have received MORE COMPLIMENTS (and a few curious questions, like ‘where’d you get that?’) over the years. I guess in my house, given everything has a story, these items seem to fit right in. https://www.visitingnurse.org/news-and-events/rummage/
