...and I'd likely never have done it had it not been for the pandemic and 'the need for all things delivered' 🙂
I do not 'do' clubs or subscriptions. PERIOD. Due to the pandemic when we were having everything delivered, I attempted to have InstaCart get wine, but they will not deliver alcohol. In order to just have wine in the house, I needed to look for alternatives. I tried WSJ Wines. It was an image of 12 bottles of Rosé that ultimately sold me. That, and I really wanted wine to drink and to cook with. Fast forward to now. Regardless of being free to move about again, I will continue to receive a quarterly case based on my preferences. That initial case ended up being 14 bottles, and also included two stunning wine glasses from Dartington, UK. Overall, I cannot honestly say that there were any varietals that I did not like. In fact, I rather liked/loved a good many of them. All for $89 by the way. My next case is supposed to be a mixed case of global reds and whites excluding any California's. I wanted to try other grapes from other countries this time, and their wine sommelier helped me to put my finger on what I enjoy drinking. In the meantime, I am promoting this because these are wines from tiny little growers who in most cases, you will never have access to...EVER. AND THEY'RE PHENOMINAL!
