by recipe developer and author Jenny DeRemer

Magic Cake With Autumn Apples is altogether decadent and requires one simple batter which uses only six ingredients!

Let's Get Baking And Whip Up This Fabulous Fall Apple Custard Cake! Remember, A Dessert That Can Be Achieved In Just About One Hour!

preheat your oven to 325°  and generously butter the bottom and sides of a 10-inch or 12-inch springform pan

Begin By Chopping Granny Smith Apples Into 1/2-inch Pieces

01

they may be loose, but they must fall beneath the inside middle of the springform pan

Separate The Egg Yolks From The Egg Whites

02

then beat the egg whites and some sugar until stiff peaks form

Mix The Wet Ingredients

03

use an electric handheld mixer or a sturdy wire whisk to incorporate the yolks with some melted butter and milk

Fold The Egg Whites Into The Wet Ingredients

04

the mixture will be very light in color and should be almost double in size

Now Mix In The Flour

05

take the time to fold the flour in properly, turning the bowl 1/4-turn after each pass with your spatula

Pour The Batter Over The Apples

06

notice my pan is wrapped in foil and placed onto a baking sheet - DO THIS!

Bake Until The Top Is Lightly Golden

07

the top will be slightly hard, nicely golden brown, and will not "jiggle" when you gently shake the springform

Dust With Sugar

08

dust GENEROUSLY with confectioners sugar before slicing and plating - I dust again after plating!
