Ingredients For Making This Poke Cake With Strawberries

Clean the Fruit

Clean your fruit by placing all berries in a large bowl. Add of apple cider vinegar and toss to ensure they are all wet.

Make a Fresh Strawberry Puree

In your food processor, combine cleaned berries, sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Pulse until the fruit is liquefied enough to be drawn up into a baster.

Assemble a Batter

In a large bowl, combine cake ingredients and mix with an electric mixer on low speed. Scrape the bowl.

With a wooden spoon handle in one hand and a wet paper towel in the other, poke holes in the cake going almost to the bottom. Use the wet paper towel to wipe the spoon handle to prevent stickiness.

Glaze and Garnish

Combine all glaze ingredients in a deep mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed with clean beaters until smooth.
