A close up of a plate of food, with Honey

Honey Mustamaise

This EASY five-ingredient Honey Mustamaise recipe is the perfect sauce for dipping, but can double as a salad dressing, or in my case, as the perfect go-to condiment for a colossal California club sandwich. Five ingredient Honey Mustamaise is tangy, sweet, the tiniest bit zippy, and can be made in 5 minutes.

  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard ( or whole grain mustard or a combination of both!)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ to ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

  • Whisk all ingredients in a small mixing bowl or glass measuring cup.
  • Using the back of a spoon to gauge consistency, if you desire a thicker base for use as a baste or spread, add additional mayonnaise and mustard. If you desire a thinner base to use as a salad dressing or glaze, increase the white vinegar.
  • Taste as you go and adjust accordingly.
